Our Palo Santo is ethically harvested from Peru. We go through a sustainable supplier to acquire these ultra fragrant Palo Santo sticks which are always harvested from naturally fallen trees.
Palo Santo is also known as the Holy Wood or the Tree of Life. Palo Santo is a mythical tree that grows near the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh and Copal. Palo Santo means 'Sacred Tree' in Spanish or 'Tree of Life'. Palo Santo is traditionally used to purify the air from bacteria.
Specifications:
Length: about 10 cm
Weight: about 10 grams each
Origin: Peru
Usage:
Use a candle, match or lighter to ignite a piece of Palo Santo wood. Hold the piece of wood at about a 45-degree angle over the flame with the tip pointing down towards the flame. Let the piece of wood burn for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then blow out the flame. Then move around the space you wish to clean. This will not only help you purge bacteria and bad energies, but the scent itself will bring you clarity and calm. When you are done, place your piece of wood in a flameproof bowl. There, it will either stop glowing on its own, or you can choose to periodically blow on the glow to create an incense-like effect in the room. Always be careful when using fire and never leave children unattended with fire.
